You ever wonder, what does a Bridal Stylist think about during an appointment? Well, here are some things we wish our brides knew before shopping for a wedding dress!

Show us what you like
Put together your Pinterest boards, screenshots, or even bring in magazine pages! Providing us with examples of what you like will help us determine where to begin.
Size is just a number
Bridal and bridesmaid clothing sizes differ from regular clothing, which can be frustrating. It's important to keep in mind that samples aren't meant to be judged on their fit. Instead, focus on their styles and details. We recommend ordering the size that best fits your current measurements when ordering your dress.
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to shop
In most cases, it takes 4-6 months for an order to arrive after it has been placed. Our recommendation is that you start your search 10-12 months before your wedding, after you factor in 2 months for alterations. The availability of sizes and styles may limit your options because not everyone has that much time before their wedding. We will do everything in our power to make your dress dreams come true!
Less is when it comes to shopping companions
The experience is very special for brides and their families, but it can also be a little overwhelming. There is no need to include too many opinions in your group; maybe 2-4 people that you trust will be honest and have your best interests at heart. As a result of your first appointment, you may end up with a few favorites, which gives you the opportunity to come back with a few other friends.
What to wear underneath
We will be helping you in and out of the gowns, so bring comfortable clothes and be prepared to share your room with us. For a better understanding of how necklines should look, you should always wear a strapless bra. For a better idea of the length before a hem, bring heels as well.
Keep an open mind and try things out of your comfort zone
Many brides end up with dresses they never imagined they would like. Hangers, mannequins, and even models show every gown differently. You should try every silhouette, that's what this experience is all about. Maybe you'll even surprise yourself!
Dress shopping is not emotional for all brides
Sometimes, the bride's mother, a close friend, or her sister may start crying first to let her know her dress is perfect. But not every bride is going to cry when she finds "the one." You feel beautiful and confident when you find the dress that represents you, and you can't wait to show it off to your fiancé!
It's Important That You Be Honest With Us
If you try on a dress, let us know how you really feel about it! It's very important to us that you find the perfect gown for you, and you won't like every dress you see. Our daily lives revolve around dresses, so we know what looks good on different body types. In order to find a dress that is uniquely yours, we want to learn all about you, your family, your personality, as well as the details of your wedding.
Enjoy being a bride and have fun! There is nothing more special than this moment in a bride's wedding experience. You are looking for a gown that complements your body, style and personality for the moment you marry your fiancé. This will be a memory you will cherish for the rest of your life.
